Re: Depth at DTI think that depends on who comes available after cuts and who is available for trade. We do not have a lack of DT. We just have a lack of run-stuffing DTs. We got enought pass rushing DTs, which makes it tough to say right now. I do agree that whoever we grab will make all the difference |

Re: Depth at DTIf you see a cut next week of Salley, LB Johnson, or Anderson. Then You know they are gearing for a trade/decent starter caliber guy (this does not mean great/probowler player just a guy who they think COULD start). With the move of Wesley to safety and his contributions on STs and versatility (can back up the CB spot as well) this frees us to get rid of Salley. With Leman having a strong camp and preseason (if he continues to develop), and the fact that Johnson and Conner can play all three LB positions, gives us the option to get rid of Anderson's 1 mil + contract without any hit as both he and Salley were FAs. If Johnson is cut/traded then it could get exciting as that is a lot of money freeing up plus trade bait help but with his versatility and the fact that to cut him would cost us more than to keep him, i doubt this move will happen. we could really only trade him, but if that is possible we could get a very decent guy with the money freed up. |
