Re: JAKE is the greatest QB in the history of the NFL....how do you know that the team is tired of jake? your not in the locker room, you dont have anything to go on with them not having any "faith" in him so in turn they lose the football game. That doesnt make any sense to me personally. What about the game last week against the cardinals? they must have had HUGE amounts of faith in him last week. So in turn the force that spreads through Delhomme in turn makes everyone play better because jake delhomme has some magical element to him that brings talent to the team when people believe in him. HA! The posts on the site are starting to sound about as rediculous as what I just wrote. nothing but fiction in a lot of these posts.

Re: JAKE is the greatest QB in the history of the NFL....After yesterday I think it has become all but clear that the Coaches have lost faith in Delhomme's ability. On our own 15yd line on a 3rd and 8 we opted to run the ball instead of have Delhomme pass for a first down. I know we are a running team, but any team that has faith in their QB is going to put that on the shoulders of the QB and not the RB. We play good enough in every phase of the game except passing. If any defense feared our ability to have an effective passing game, we could very well be a top 5 team. I love Delhomme and think he is a great leader and team player, but he just doesn't seem to have the ability to get it done anymore. |

Re: JAKE is the greatest QB in the history of the NFL....but i see this as a bigger mistake in coaching not having him throw the ball in these cases, when he was asked to throw the ball yesterday he did pretty well, especially the one drive that he pretty much did nothing but pass on. I like Delhomme too and feel that he is starting to lose his stuff but I get awful tired of people putting ever piece of blame on him as to why were so predictable or the play calling |

Re: JAKE is the greatest QB in the history of the NFL....Can we start the Julius Peppers thread too? Because he is a crock as well. He disappeared once again yesterday like I knew he would. It's sad that we knew that the saints knew we were running every play. Is this the twilight zone? Does anyone honestly think we can do this week in and week out? Just running the ball down every team's throat? It can work sometimes but not every week. As I said last week, we have to be two-dimensional and pass at least some. Jake is high, behind, to the left, short and too hard. Then he tries to act like it's the receivers every time. Throwing his arms in the air is getting tiresome. |
