Re: What's your opinion?Actually seeing blitz packages from a 4/3 with the giants and a 3/4 with the fins can be useful in the season.. It's sometimes effective against the run, sometimes! If, however,...the blitz misses against running plays td runs are often the result. 40 years or more ago with the "old Boston Pats" they rarely won a preseason game but were in the hunt for the title. It seems coaches, schemes, delhomme are often criticiZed....let's wait for the first game or two in the season to start making judgments. However, I do understand a serious search is underway for a big run-stopper in the middle...We can pray toward that end! |

Re: What's your opinion? Its not a lack of confidence that Fox doesnt want to pull out the stops in the preseason. He just wants to let the guys go play and get some work in the new defenses. The two teams we played dont have new defenses that they must get use to. So they are coming out and doing what they did last year. Meeks wants to see what the players have in raw talent so he can us them accordingly. Cause I dont beleive that Tom Coughlin and Tony Sparano are better coaches then Fox. |

Re: What's your opinion?Im a huge fan of Jake but my biggest knock on him is his inability to get rid of it quick. If he could just learn to be able to get rid of it quicker he would be so much better. As I study what he is doing wrong, I notice how he wastes valuable time backing and not willing to unload until he pats and checks down at least once. He has to get some of that Favre in him and learn to dump a little more. The D has to tackle better/more and yes we obviously need a run stopper. My opinion of Gamble not tackling was because of what Peppers said, It ain't live yet. Hey at least they are out there...does LT still not play preseason cause he dont want to hurt himself? What if he was a Panther? Would we accept that? |
