Re: Car @ NE ?I thought Moore played very good today...he threw alot of passes that the WR's just plain dropped that he put right on their numbers...he threw for 192 yards and considering Fox/Davidsons conservative A$$ play calling I'd say thats pretty darn good...the other thing I noticed is our line played like crap the protection was pathetic and even the run game wasnt all that great Williams had 2 carries for about 40 yards that made up for the 82 yards he had...now saying that...I dont care if Moore is the second coming of Peyton Manning we still need to get rid of DelHomme and draft another QB...I think all the guys ya'll are talking about we wont have a chance of getting but maybe we can get a guy in the lower rounds...they are gonna have to get somewhat creative I think...personally,I would, go after a WR in the second and maybe even an O-Lineman in the 3rd and then in the fourth look at a QB...if Canfield from oregon state fell that far I'd love to have him the most accurate passer in the pac-10 or and I know I know...I might would look at Thaddeus Lewis out of Duke.

Re: Car @ NE ?I think everyone here needs to get a little perspective on our current QB situation. Yesterday was Moore's 5th career start. Let me say that again...It was his 5th career start. Granted he hasn't come out in his first two starts in over two years and lit up the scoreboard, but who really thought he would?? Who really thought the Panthers would turn into the Greatest Show on Turf once Moore took over?? He certainly has performed better, in my opinion, than Gohomme has all season. He turned it over only one time so far in his two starts and that was on a tipped ball. I could careless how many "almost" INTs he had yesterday. Newsflash "almost" or "should have beens" don't count. Moore give the current Panther offense and team the best chance to win by far. That's not saying he is the end all be all of QBs and a lock for the Hall of Fame. In my opinion he has the physical tools to be a successful QB and the ability, at times, to extend plays which is so important. I certainly would like for Hurney/Fox to draft and/or add another QB this offseason and truly allow, for the first time, an OPEN COMPETITION for the position next summer. Now judging from Hurney/Fox's track record I highly doubt that will happen. As I've said time and time again as long as Hurney is here, Fox is here, and as long as Fox is here Gohomme will start. I doubt that Richardson will fire Fox or Hurney so I foresee Fox making Davidson the scapegoat just like he did to Henning. |
