Re: Moore and the DRAFT...what to do what to do.....Tarheel, I believe it was me that posted about Fox being loyal to a fault. When he didn't play #34 after absolutely shining in the preseason I knew then that Fox had a fatal flaw. The Delhomme/Moore situation just solidifies this point. I'm still not 100% convinced of Moore yet but I am convinced that its him, not Jake that gives us our best chance to win right now. As far as Jarret I still feel the kid hasn't been given a consistant opportunity. I could be wrong on him but I just get the irking feeling that if he's cut he will go to another team and excel!

Re: Moore and the DRAFT...what to do what to do.....3 yrs worth of practices, training camps, mini-camps and ota's???? I am an over the hill slow 50 year old...in other words I just dont have that extra little burst of speed to consistently get myself open...but one thing for...for 100's of thousands of $$$$ i would to the very least lineup in the correct position...so there is a irking feeling that if 80 went to another team it could bite back and hurt the team...I'd take that chance because as is he is on the team and not contirubting much (hurting the team) IMO Fox ahs been over loyal to 80 to a fault....3 yrs of next to nothing is quite enough.... |

Re: Moore and the DRAFT...what to do what to do.....I honestly think Williams will stick around. He needs to get paid though. That is for sure. I hope Moore will finish out the year and show us mroe and more improvement. He did everything we needed him to do the other night. That will give the front office a bit more to look at when looking at who to get in the draft. We will see... |

Re: Moore and the DRAFT...what to do what to do.....Cornhusker, in 3 years how many times has he even made the active list and in turn onto the field not mention had a pass thrown his way??? John Fox has displayed a pattern of ignoring unproven talent in favor of lackluster players who he has a history with. My argument is maybe this is the case with Jarret. I have no proof other than what some jock-sniffing sports writer says that Jarret has a problem lining up correctly. He hasn't been out of place anymore than anyone else that includes O-Linemen. As for the playbook I can teach my dog the Panthers playbook in a week. BUT, like I said I could be wrong...he may very well be a bust! I just don't think it's been proven beyond a shadow a doubt. |

Re: Moore and the DRAFT...what to do what to do.....Well its ODD to me the guy(jarrett)can be taught to be a super star at USC but he aint smart enough to work things out in this organization?,,,just seems odd to me is all I'm saying and when you look at the Moore/Delhomme thing and the Foster/Williams thing its not to far fetched to think that maybe Fox has a problem with certain individuals or they arent kissing his ass enough or whatever may be the problem...but I mean the kid was a heck of a player at USC maybe let him play backyard ball and just say go get open and let Moore throw it to him every now and then...who knows?! |

Re: Moore and the DRAFT...what to do what to do.....Not really! I worked for the Charlotte Observer for 5 years in the newsroom and trust me guy you would be surprised. Many of these guys are just writers with a degree who was in the right place at the right time and ended up with a job. Have you listened to Charlotte sports talk radio lately? Sports fans want to believe that just because a guy is on the radio everyday or writes for the local rag that their musings are infallible. They give their opinion and fabricate just as much as any fan out there. That's why you have a contingent of athletes (not just Panthers either) that don't trust members of the media and rarely talk to them. I have a decent sports sense and I attend alot of the games and watch things many fans (and writers) usually ignore so I'm pretty weary of the opinions of more than a few of these guys! I've seen them (writers) in action, but that's just me. |
