Re: Moore and the DRAFT...what to do what to do.....

I agree begasu. I thought M. Moore had a great performance against the Vikes, but I think the QB position still needs further evaluation. I say bring in a decent FA like a Jason Campbell or draft a Tony Pike or Dan LeFevour. I think our priorities in the offseason should be a #2 WR to help Smitty, a good qb to bring some needed competition into camp, and depth along both the O and D-lines.

As for the jock-sniffing sports writers...like it or not 9 times out of 10 they do know more than most of us info.-wise
Not really! I worked for the Charlotte Observer for 5 years in the newsroom and trust me guy you would be surprised. Many of these guys are just writers with a degree who was in the right place at the right time and ended up with a job. Have you listened to Charlotte sports talk radio lately? Sports fans want to believe that just because a guy is on the radio everyday or writes for the local rag that their musings are infallible. They give their opinion and fabricate just as much as any fan out there. That's why you have a contingent of athletes (not just Panthers either) that don't trust members of the media and rarely talk to them. I have a decent sports sense and I attend alot of the games and watch things many fans (and writers) usually ignore so I'm pretty weary of the opinions of more than a few of these guys! I've seen them (writers) in action, but that's just me.
The guy i was referring to...so far in the 6-7 months i have been checking out his comments he has been pretty spot on in terms of solid info...so I do think he is in the loop and earn that positioning>>>

But I will repectfully defer to your newsroom work experiences and practical knowledge at large. I have 25 yrs of small college coaching experiences and I must say that the real small market reports I dealt with on occassion didnt always get it right...so your words do ring with  truth....some of them are trustworthy professionals and some of them just write from the seat of their pants and have not dug deep enough to peparate fact from fiction
