Re: Not jumping shipThe only preseason game that I really read much into is the third one in which the starters play the majority of the game. Last year we slaughtered the Redskins in that third preseason game and ended up having a pretty interesting season. I think Thursday night will give everyone the opportunity to really evaluate what we have going into the season, but remember that Smitty and Beason probably won't be active so we still might not have an accurate gauge on where we stand. |

Re: Not jumping shipThis has been my hope completely, and don't laugh, I watched the supposed nothing of the Panthers' 2006 preseason and 2007 preseason and let me tell you--it was the same ol same ol--can't stop the run and can't run the ball. This does not look anything like our team from last year but I hope this is just sharking the future opponents. The D looks lost and the O looks sloppy. I know our starters are patchwork at best but OMG, I feel a bit panicky. Hopefully I can look back on this post in 3 months and laugh at myself, the rest of you are welcome to do so now. |

Re: Not jumping shipYes it looks very similar to the 06 & 07 preseasons and we all know how those seasons turned out. |

Re: Not jumping shipI agree with this I wish we were healthy. I'm afraid not having Beason, Godfrey, Smitty, and J. Stewart all playing might delay us getting it together and getting a good start. It actually will be good we have an early bye week this year. I usually hate the early bye week but our health will benefit from it. |

Re: Not jumping shipi hate to correct you on this, but foxy is the reason we we are redundant, repetitive, and vanilla, what you saw in the miami game was old man henning getting a lil revenge on the man who used him as a scape goat. |

Re: Not jumping shiphenning got fired becouse he couldnt cut it. dont fool yourself. fox brought in henning becouse he was a rookie head couch who needed somone to run the offense and henning had been around the NFL for a long time. but one thing he caught too much heat for was the running plays on third and long. how many times do we see an interception in that situation? |
