Brandon Marshalljust a thought, but after reading Steve Reed's article about team needs for next year, it got me thinking about Brandon Marshall.....now I know that Fox and Hurney's MO is not to bring in guys with "character issues" or whatever, but I think it's time to stray from the path that they are used to. Depending on whether Julius Peppers wants to stay or not, why not trade him to Denver for Brandon Marshall??? It may be far fetched, but I really think Fox and Hurney may start to realize that in order to be at the top of the league, our skill position players must improve. We can't get it done with Muhammad (as much as he's done) and other average guys anymore......We need more star power at the receiver position, which I think all of us know, but seemed to forget about ever since J Stewart and Deangelo have been running wild on teams.....(they are the best running combo in football I think, and not just cause I'm a Panther fan)....What do you guys think? and if not Brandon Marshall, than who would you like to see as our # 2 receiver for 2010???? |

Re: Brandon MarshallMarshall is a great wideout, but I think he carries a bit too much baggage for this organization. Two guys that I think will be free agents who might be worth a look are Vincent Jackson and Malcolm Floyd of San Diego. Both are big guys with good hands. If we go for youth in the draft, maybe Eric Decker of Minnesota or Mardy Gilyard from Cincinatti. Decker is another possession receiver while Gilyard could be a great addition in the KR/PR game. Either way we definately need to get some help for Smitty! |

Re: Brandon MarshallHe is a very good receiver and is going to be really good in this league for a long time depending on what team he ends up playing for because it doesn't seem he going to be playing for Denver next year, but like rockstar said he might have to much baggage for this franchise! Would love to have him though! |

Re: Brandon MarshallIf I had my choice I would take Boldin since he has less baggage. Boldin might complain but he always goes out and plays; also Brandon Marshall has already been suspended by the league so I would rather stay away from him. So I would say no to Marshall since their asking price is a 1st and a 3rd. Try Boldin or draft a receiver in the 2nd or 3rd round of the draft |

Re: Brandon MarshallJackson > Boldin in my book, but Boldin is more probable to hit the market. |
