Growing up, I was a Barry Sanders fan. I followed the Lions because of him so I wouldnt say I was a fan of Detroit, just a fan of Sanders. When he retired, I stopped watching football & it wasnt until around 2004 that I started following the Panthers again. I was excited that we finally had a team back in 1995, but I was still following Barry at the time.

One pro team and one college team...Just cannot seriously pull for any other pro team, other than rutting for teams playing the other NFC South Division teams...(really not all that pumped over watching other pro games on the tube)...Do tend to pull for certain NFL head coaches...ie., if Singletary coaches the Browns or Cowher the Bills I'd take not eof those games---the inverse is also true---I can not pull for any team coached or owned by J Jones N Turner or the Tuna   

here N Football gets the 24-7 attention that a pro team would-media-radio talk shows local tv coverage wise...so Saturdays are devoted to Husker FB...get a bit much at times but N FB is just part of growing up in the State...

Many Bears, Chiefs, Broncos, Packers and Viking fans here---which fits better geographically...other Carolina fans here---but we are heavily out numbers by the aforementioned teams...
