It seems he is not going to coach next year. It really makes me wonder if he was just waiting for Fox to be fired. There are certainly teams out there in need that he could have looked at.

Yep.  This is the job he wants.  It would seem that he is willing to wait if necessary.

Hey the Giants just fired thier D.C. Maybe they offer Fox a lucrative contract and Fox leaves. That opens the door for Cowher to step in....Just a thought!!

If Fox is as PO'ed at not having his HC contract extended as the local media has suggested he is...i do not think there is any amt of cheSSE that would convience him to take a step back in his coahing career and go back to being a DC only...Plus the current NYG HC---doubt he would bring in a successful HC to run his defense

I  am beginning to wonder if Coughlin is safe in NY.  I think there is likely much changes to come the the next few weeks.

GKillette just turned me on to this tidbit of info from Randy Lerner.  It seems Fox and Holmgren have the same agent.  Rumor is Fox may be the new HC in Cleveland if things don't go well this week with the Panthers.
