Where's the love ESPN??I was watching ESPN and Mike Golic was going thru the NFC and picking the teams he believes will win their respective divisions. Guess who he picked to win the NFC South---The damn Falcons. WTF?? Can anyone please tell me why the Falcons are getting so much love from every friggin analyst in the world. Golic said it was "huge that they picked up Tony Gonzales". How is one TE gonna help them take the division? I understand the he's good and all but still, he doesn't play on the defensive side of the ball, so how's he gonna stop Double Trouble or Steve Smith from scoring the 40 TDs that there gonna score on the Falcons LOL. But in all seriousness, can anyone please explain to me why the Falcons are supposedly gonna be better than the Panthers? The Falcons, like the Panthers have yet to produce back to back winning seasons. Golic then picked the Eagles to win NFC championship. I think he'll see who's gonna win the NFC after the Panthers blow the Eagles out Week 1. What do yall think? |

Re: Where's the love ESPN??LOL. Good one Matt. These are the reasons the Falcons will win the division; Matt Ryan is a stud QB, they really lucked up with him. Now he has arguably one of the top 3 best TEs in the NFL to throw to, combined with a decent receiving corps highlighted by White. Add to that Turner who finished second in rushing yards and there you have it. They have one of the best DE in the game but not really much else on D. Their offense is stacked & I think everyone is relying on them to outscore their opponents. The Panthers will be their own worst enemy again due to injuries, Delhommes bad decision making, & Foxs vanilla coaching. |

Re: Where's the love ESPN??The thing you gotta realize is that everyone at ESPN has a man-crush on Matt Ryan. He comes in as a rookie and wins 11 games his first year and he is a future "hall of fame" QB. Seriously!?!? I know people only look at stats and wins, but if you look at the schedule, Ryan and the Falcons only won 3 games against teams above a .500 record. One game against us, TB and the Vikings. We might as well get used to the fact that everyone is going to pick ATL all year.

Re: Where's the love ESPN??I think it'll be NO that wins the division. With all the injuries that we're dealing with and how we've seen them affect us (I know, its preseason, it doesn't mean anything blah, blah, blah), I think we'll be lucky to vie for a wildcard.
