Re: the saints have a shiny new ring

I am in total agreement that this is good for the NFC south, but otherwise I am not so sure I feel like the rest of it is good. Katrina Kashmina, it was awful  but it was FIVE years ago, and whatever. HOnestly, I am just envious, and I have a hard time being happy for one of the Panthers' main rivals. But the saints have 29 free agent issues to deal now, so lets see what happens.

Re: the saints have a shiny new ring

just think about it like this. thats probably at least 2 sunday monday thursday or saturday night games for us since the champs are really our biggest rival the last 8 years and thats who usually gets the NFL network games. i for one look forward to the extra television time not only for games but just spot lighting our team in general(if we beat them that is.) they had a third place schedule this year just as we will have. so we can do the same. and we have an almost unrivaled run game so we can win a totally different waye  than the saints can. plus if we get a passing game we would be scarier than them

Good for the Saints.  I wish it was us, but, hey, there's always next season...

How on earth does us having good #2 receiver make us a super bowl contender?
The Panthers and Saints have two different styles/philosophies of O...there is zero question and or in no uncertain terms should the topic even be debated...if the Panthers had a #2 and #3 Wr who were productive/threats and could have taken some of the heat/double coverage off of 89---RESULT = the Panthers offense becomes better...Super Bowl winning not certain...but I will say that the Panthers can win a SB with the run first style they employee...having better 2-3 WR helps to strenghten the entire offense!

Now that said...re: the issues of accuracy in throwing Hook bring to light...i do agree a guy like Brees makes good WR's better...but one must ask the question would the Saints trade their 2-3-4 WR's for those of the Panther...IMO Noway Jose...Brees would make them a bit better yes...but not Super Bowl better! In other words Brees does not even get to the SB with an elderly 87 and a slow footed 80...So when comparing Jakes job off throwing to his WR's as compared to Brees job of throwing to the Saints WR's Brees has the easlier job...his 2-3-4 WR's are better than the Panthers...(I am not saying Jake is even close to being a Brees type QB...not even close...but he would be closer with better 2-3 Wr's)

And MM as the starter would be much better with a better overall WR corp as well as would JD as his backup!

The crazy thing is, who are his 2 - 3 - 4 recievers, assuming Colsten is # 1, and remembering that Colsten was a 6th round pick.  Any given week, depending on who a team covers, really determines who gets the most looks / receptions on the Saints.
