Peppers' CommentsI'm not saying that the guy is blameless in this whole debacle, but I am a bit more understanding of his point of view. He wanted out last year because he thought we would suck, which we all thought getting rid of the DC might change that and it did. If Peppers is willing to stay here, I don't see why we don't wrap him up in a contract. Even if there is a lockout in 2011 he is the best player on the D-Line. No sense letting 12-14 sacks a year walk out the door. |

Re: Peppers' CommentsWhaaaaaannn, whaaaaaan. I didn't get my way so I will walk, no stay, no walk. I don't like the coach, I don't like the scheme, I didn't like the deal, I didn't like my performance. What a friggin joke this guy is. I'm thinking now he has mental problems. Just further evidence we need to toss this loser and start fresh/young. I repeat: I DON'T WANT HIM. Still stinks we won't get any compensation for him.

Re: Peppers' Commentsyou guys need to read between the lines, especially this one, "I DON'T WANT A LONG TERM CONTRACT" just like i said in an earlier post, peppers is "ALL ABOUT THE MONEY", meaning he wants to be franchised and get that 20 million, then he will have earned 36 million in 2 years and when the lockout happens he takes a nice vacation and when he comes back in 2012 he can go to the highest bidder,if you think about it that makes perfect sense, the man is simply trying to get the money. |

Re: Peppers' CommentsHe's talking out of both sides of his mouth. And super-douche Carl Carey isn't helping matters. I love Peppers, but if he's hoping this will get him franchised again for another ridiculous payday, I think he's sorely mistaken. My guess is that Hurney will come to him with a fair offer that Pep and Carey will whine about, then Hurney will let him walk. We'll give him the choice of whether to damage his own reputation and that will effect how he gets paid elsewhere. If he's wise, he'll quit playing games and get to work on actually getting a deal done. Otherwise he might end up playing for the Raiders or Redskins or some other lousy team with too much money. |

Re: Peppers' CommentsThere seems to be plaenty of taking-heads who beleive 90 is going to walk out of Carolina w/o any compensation or that the club will have no issue trading him within the division for the right picks...Chris Mortenson seems to think that Atlanta will the team who lands 90... IMO the Panthers are better with him than they could be w/o him so I am hopfeul they will work it all out...plus I disagree with 90...being quite or silent does not always mean the same thing from one person or organization to the next...com'on 90...you are a all-decade DE...not an all-decade mindreader...damn next thing you know he is going to want his very own palm-reading tv show.... |
