Getting a DT or What?I think we can all agree that we need to pick up another DT, but I have not heard anything from anyone concerning what the panthers might do. I'm not one to be impatient, but I really wish I knew what they were going to do because if our starting DT is hayden on Sept 13th I'm gonna freak. |

Re: Getting a DT or What?The most probable senario would be for the team to cut ties with a current vet or two...ie., Salley and/or Anderson...inorder to free up the che$$e to go get a vet DT. at this time, they just have to wait and figure out who may end up available.

Re: Getting a DT or What?Hold this concern as well but apparently some teams are loaded with DT talent...cannot keep them all...so in this case what may be a cast off from one team could be helpful in fitting a position of need for another team |

Re: Getting a DT or What?Yes when you give someone who got cut new life, it gives them that second chance to prove themselves. We have seen this so many times, most recently with Mark Jones. He wasn't that great until we got him...we groomed him up then shipped him off to Tenn. I agree about Hayden, if he's in there against Philly-we're doomed. Maybe Beason should speak up about it some more. But waiting for a DT to get cut, it would probably be a 3rd stringer/practice squad cat, not like some 2nd teamers that just overload at WR or TE. DT are more of a commodity and important to success. |

Re: Getting a DT or What?What you guys are not realizing is that that there is no decent available DT. It's best to wait till cuts to see what comes available. Only 2 that are even viable options that are available now is robertson or walker and you have to wonder how much they have left. |
