So who's gonna be there?

So with the 48th pick, who might be there to fit our needs? Most have been saying WR first pick then qb maybe. Realistically, who should be the best available at 48? It's all mock right now but times are slow...

Re: So who's gonna be there?

If he is still there they best grab the Proehlest talent that is Texas WR J. Shipley. He may not fit 89's wish for a WR that is faster than him...but JS is not a big slow possesion type WR and he does have return skill. Plus best of all he is a football player that just happens to be a WR. (LOL...for a Cornhusker at heart to want anything at all to do with a UT player that speaks highly of this particular player...cannot stand those horns...they carry the Jerry Jones rep and are the stinking richa$$ JJ of the BIG 12)

What about Thad Lewis? Is this dude for real? Where is he projected to go?

Re: So who's gonna be there?

i think the 'experts' have thad as a late round pick borderline priority free agent.
after watching him light up ncsu for 45-50 passing or whatever he did i was sold that the kid could play at the next level.  i dont care how bad a d is, you dont go 45-50.  if he played at any other school besides duke he would be a solid mid round prospect at least

Re: So who's gonna be there?

All aboard the Jordan Shipley bandwagon.

Lewis is probably going to be available in the late rounds if not undrafted.

Re: So who's gonna be there?

I would like to see Kevin Walter from the Texans as a day 1 WR2, and draft Gilyard who can be KR/PR day 1 and develop into that WR2. Going with 3 or 4 wide Gilyard would be the fastest guy opposite Smitty.
