CHARLOTTE -- Tony Pike is now officially in catch-up mode.
"It's all going to eventaully level out," Pike said. "I think the time here now and way up until training cmap will allow me to catch up."
Coach John Fox called Tuesday a tough day for Pike to show up since the Panthers were working no-huddle situations, which made it the equivalent of him being thrown into the fire.
"But he did really well, and I think he had a carryover from the minicamp, so he had a good day," Fox said.
When asked how much Pike missed, Fox said, "I think players will tell you they get more out of it when they get the live reps. You chalk it, you walk it, and then to actually get it you've got to play it. That's time he missed, but we've got plenty of time to make it up.
TENDERS SIGNED: Carolina's last two remaining unsigned restricted free agents signed their tenders on Tuesday, meaning they've committed to playing this season with the Panthers. Linebacker Thomas Davis and CB Richard Marshall, both of whom have been participating in OTAs with their teammates, signed their deals one week ahead of the deadline.
DAVIS TWEAKS KNEE: Davis tweaked his previously injured right knee in today's practice and walked off the field with trainer Ryan Vermillion. The extent of the injury is not known, but it didn't appear too serious as Davis was walking under his own power.
